Gregory Pierce ’85 is the executive vice president and treasurer of HSBC Bank USA, N.A., the $180 billion U.S. Bank subsidiary of the HSBC Group. On Thursday, Oct. 22, he will speak about his experiences as a major player in the international financial world at 7:30 p.m. in Stern Hall 103 as part of the Salisbury Center for Career Services’ Professionals in Residence series.
In this role, Pierce is responsible for the overall interest rate risk management of the bank, investment portfolio strategy and management, and funding and liquidity management. Pierce joined HSBC in 1996 as a portfolio manager and proprietary trader.
Prior to joining HSBC, he spent 11 years at National Westminster Bank USA, where he was Head of Balance Sheet Management as well as a portfolio manager within the Bank’s investment portfolio and the Asset Management Division.
Pierce holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Hobart College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.
He resides in Ridgewood, N.J. with his wife and two sons.
