Interested in attending law school after your time at the Colleges?
Pre-law advisers Professor of Philosophy Scott Brophy and Assistant Director of Career Service Kathy Tonkovich will host an informational session about the HWS Pre-Law program on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The meeting will include academic guidelines and suggested courses, information about the Pathways Program offered by the Salisbury Center, and internship experiences.
The HWS Pre-Law program emphasizes the importance of the liberal arts education that is central to life here at the Colleges. Almost any major offered through HWS can provide the skills and knowledge to prepare a student for law school, as long as it is supplemented with coursework in disciplines such as political science, economics, history, English or philosophy. These types of courses can help to build the necessary analytical thinking, research, and writing abilities.
The meeting is open to all students from first years to seniors. The information session will be held from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 in 305 Trinity Hall.
