Renowned pianist Kevin Moore will return to the Hobart and William Smith campus for a recital featuring some of his own pieces as well as music by Edvard Grieg and Percy Grainger. The concert will take place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, in the Geneva Room of the Warren Hunting Smith Library.
“He is a wonderful player, and we are lucky to have him back once again,” says Professor of Music Robert Cowles of Moore who has performed numerous times at HWS over the past several years.
Moore is a professor of music at Onondaga Community College, where he has taught since 1975. He has studied with such esteemed piano teachers as James Ball, Robert Goldsand, Anton Kuerti and Liselotte Schmidt.
He holds a B.M. degree from the Crane School of Music, an M.M. degree from the Manhattan School of Music, a Ph.D. from New York University and a J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law. He has been licensed to practice law in New York State since 1987.
