Stacey N. Pierce, director of residential education, was quoted in the September/October edition of the ACUHO-I Talking Stick. The article is about student advocacy and maintaining the balance as a professional.
ACUHO-I is the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International, an organization of which HWS is a member. Colleges staff have attended conferences and sit on ACUHO-I committees.
Pierce is responsible for the overall supervision and operation of the Office of Residential Education. She is a graduate of Rowan University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She went on to complete a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology at the University of New Haven, and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Maryland University College. Pierce previously worked in residence life and housing at several institutions including Monroe Community College, Texas Tech University, New Haven, and Rowan.
