Within months of graduating from William Smith College, Christine Abramo ’12 signed a contract with Mundial Sports Network as director of digital sales. She discovered the network on LinkedIn and thought her Spanish and Hispanic studies major and double minor in Latin American studies and media and society would fit well with the company’s mission.
The Mundial Sports Network targets the Hispanic market, and has great success doing so with their strong digital components. In her role as director of digital sales, Abramo will gain new business with assigned clients and travel to establish business partnerships with multiple companies.
“I hope to learn and grow as much as possible. This being my first job out of college, I hope to be exposed to the media and digital market, while having experiences that will teach and guide me in the right direction,” says Abramo.
Reflecting on her time at HWS, Abramo believes that being a member of the Herons lacrosse team taught her time management and the ability to work well with others and her dual-major prepared her well for the career move.
“As a Spanish and Hispanic studies major at HWS, I learned to love the Spanish language and the Hispanic culture, which is vital in my career path.”
