The HWS Music Department is proud to welcome The Manhattan Piano Trio back to campus for a unique performance on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. in the Geneva Room of the Warren Hunting Smith Library.
The Trio, comprised of Wayne Lee playing the violin, Dmitry Kouzov playing the cello, and Milana Strezeva on piano, first performed at HWS in 2010. The group has become one of the most creative, exciting and dynamic young ensembles in the United States.
The group has been declared “a grand departure from the usual” and has been awarded many prizes since its founding in 2004. The Trio, whose origins are rooted in the Julliard School of Music, won the Grand Prize of the 2006 Plowman National Chamber Music Competition, as well as the 2007 Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition.
This performance marks the second of 13 exciting shows sponsored by the HWS Music Department that will be displayed throughout the spring semester.
Admission to the performance is free, though donations will be accepted.
