William Smith started its scoring spree just 12:38 into the match. Buckley sent a cross from the right side of the field to Fray, who sent a header into the right side of the goal to make it 1-0. Buckley followed with back-to-back goals to stretch the William Smith lead to three. In the 18th minute, the Bard keeper miss-hit her kick and it went right to Buckley. She drilled a shot from 20 yards out into the back of the net. In the 30th minute, the Herons earned a corner. Buckley took the kick, pushing a short pass to Frary, who tapped it back to her. What appeared to be a cross from Buckley, sailed into the far right corner of the goal.
In the 32nd minute, sophomore Brenna Kincaid notched her third goal of the year, and second in as many days, to make it 4-0. Her shot from about 20 yards out bounced off the keeper, into the ground, up to the crossbar and then across the goal line.
First-year Alexis Koral registered her first collegiate goal in the 56th minute. Frary sent a short pass across the top of the box to Koral who fired from the top of the box into the left side of the goal. First-year Nikki Carfi capped the victory with her second goal of the year in the 85th minute. Classmate Zoe Jackson Gibson sent a cross from the right side of the field to find Carfi on the far left side of the box. She placed her shot just out of the keeper’s reach for the final margin.
Bard’s best scoring chance came in the 67th minute. Dana Badala put a shot on goal, but Dunay was there to make the stop for William Smith. The rebound bounced out to Alana Shaw, but her shot sailed wide of the goal.
