Ruiz speaks on Wireless Networking at Hollywood conference

Michael Ruiz '99, network and systems engineer in Information Technology Services at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, recently spoke at Syllabus 2005 in Hollywood Calif.

He teamed with a representative from Meru Networks, the HWS wireless vendor, to present “What's Your Pervasive WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) Plan?” The theme of the 12th annual education technology conference, hosted at UCLA, was “Spotlight on Innovation, Integration and Collaboration.”

Their presentation focused on how choosing next-generation technology and combining it with planning and support can lay a safe and reliable wireless network capable of handling the demands of today and scale into tomorrow.
