Representatives from The Fresh Air Fund will visit the Colleges for a recruitment event, titled “A Career in Education and Community Service,” as a part of the Professionals in Residence series presented by the Salisbury Center for Career, Professional and Experiential Education.
One-on-one appointments will take place on Thursday, March 3 from 3-5 p.m. in Trinity 109. A presentation will follow at 7:30 p.m. in Stern 201 that evening. Students must RSVP to both the presentation and one-on-ones by emailing email@example.com.
The Fresh Air Fund is an independent, not-for profit agency that has provided free summer experiences to more than 1.8 million children from low-income communities in New York City since 1877.
Close to 9,000 children enjoy free Fresh Air Fund programs annually. Each summer, nearly 4,000 children visit volunteer host families in rural, suburban and small town communities across 13 states from Virginia to Maine and Canada. Approximately 3,000 children attend five Fresh Air camps in the summer on a 2,300 acre site in Fishkill, N.Y. Close to 2,000 young people participate in year-round educational programs at camp and in New York City.
