Laird’s Teaching and Research Highlighted

Research by Assistant Professor of Geoscience Neil Laird was recently highlighted in a University of Illinois alumni newsletter.

The story discusses how he and his students sample “columns” of water in Seneca Lake and his research into lake-effect snow in the Finger Lakes.

A photo of Laird with students aboard the William Scandling appeared in the June 2007 issue of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences newsletter for U of I alumni.

Laird, a member of the faculty since 2004, holds a bachelor's degree from State University of New York at Oswego and his master's and doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
