Colleges Receive Grant from Herman Goldman Foundation

Geneva, N.Y.—Hobart and William Smith Colleges have received a grant from the Herman Goldman Foundation for the continuance of the Herman Goldman Foundation Scholarship, which provides need-based educational support.

The Herman Goldman Foundation Scholarship provides equal support to one Hobart and one William Smith student. Known as Herman Goldman Scholars, past recipients include Jill Dugas, a senior from Glenmont, N.Y., and Eric Newsome, a senior from Albion, N.Y. Recipients for the 2001-2002 academic year will be chosen this summer.

The Herman Goldman Foundation was incorporated in New York in 1943, and awards grants in health, social justice, education, and the arts, primarily in the metropolitan New York area.
