Geneva, NY — Agatha, by Marguerite Duras, a play of desire and departure and the poetic exploration of love and loss by one of 20th century France's major authors, will be performed at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 23 – Tuesday, May 25, in Bartlett Theatre, Coxe Hall, on the Hobart and William Smith campus.
The two person cast of a brother and a sister will be played by Christian J. de Ocejo, a first-year student at Hobart College, who is originally from Orono, Minnesota, and Brianna L. Klemm, a William Smith junior from Bishop, California. Agatha is the story of a brother and sister who meet in a house by the sea to say good-bye forever. Duras is the author of The Lover,and Moderato Cantabile, and the screenwriter for Hiroshima Mon Amour, India Song, and Vera Baxter.
The show is directed by Robert Gross, director of theatre and professor of English at HWS. General admission is $3.
