Dundas Will Try Teaching

Amy Dundas ’02 was the focus of a story in the May 12 Finger Lakes Times titled “She'll Try Teaching.” The story told how Dundas planned to have a career in geology, transferring to William Smith because she felt the College had a superior science program. Now, however, she is using her background in geology and environmental studies with a new aim—teaching. Dundas has been accepted into NYC Teaching Fellows, an organization that sends teachers into underperforming public schools in New York City, mostly in the Bronx and Brooklyn. She won't know her teaching assignment until shortly before her training begins, but she expects it will be science.
