Gearan Featured Speaker for MLK Celebration in Geneva

President Mark Gearan will be the featured speaker for the Redeem the Dream community celebration of Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 17.

The MLK March will begin in front of the Public Safety Building on Exchange Street at 10 a.m. and end at the Presbyterian Church on Park Place. President Gearan will speak at the 11 a.m service. A fellowship dinner, hosted by the Rev. W. Jim Gerling, will follow. The meal is free and open to all who participate in the march. WEOS-FM 89.7/90.3 plans to tape Gearan's speech, and will air it tonight at 8 p.m.

Notice of the ceremony was given on WHEC-TV Channel 10.

Gearan will be interviewed at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, by Caitlin Wunder of the Finger Lakes Radio Group to discuss Martin Luther King Jr. Day activities.
