Colleges Mourn Terwilliger ’29

The Colleges community offers condolences to the family of Mildred Terwilliger, a member of the William Smith Class of 1929 who passed away Sunday, Jan. 12. Mildred was born in the town of Phelps, the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie Vanderhoof Gross, and resided in Geneva for several years before moving to Rochester. She was a graduate of William Smith College and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Geneva. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Geneva or to William Smith College.

Mildred Terwilliger

GENEVA — Mildred Terwilliger, 95, of Rochester, formerly of Geneva, passed away Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) in the Kirk Haven Nursing Home.

There will be no prior calling hours. Graveside services will be Tuesday (Jan. 14) at 11 am in Glenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. W. James Gerling, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Geneva, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Geneva or to William Smith College.

Mildred was born in the town of Phelps, the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie Vanderhoof Gross, and resided in Geneva for several years before moving to Rochester. She was a graduate of William Smith College and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Geneva.

She is survived by her niece, Patricia Rabida, of Rochester; her nephew, H. William Vogt, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Terwilliger.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home in Geneva.
