Students interested in being CTL Teaching Fellows for next year have until Friday, March 30 to apply.
The program, similar to writing colleagues, provides an opportunity to enrich students’ learning outside the classroom.
Teaching Fellows, nominated by department and program faculty for their ability to facilitate student learning in a specific subject, will staff departmental study spaces, cultivating student understanding of subject-specific discourse and inquiry, modeling out-of-class engagement, and helping direct learning.
Studies have shown that students benefit when they learn with — and from — other students: questioning and listening improve communication ability and help clarify knowledge, while discussion increases critical thinking skills. The Teaching Fellows Program also helps develop the abilities outlined in HWS Goals 1 and 2.
Applicants chosen for interviews will be notified by Monday, April 2, and asked to schedule interviews by Friday, April 13 at the CTL. Final selections will be announced on Monday, April 23.
Details and applications are available at Teaching Fellows.
