One of New York's finest contemporary dance ensembles, Susan Marshall and Company, will be in residence at Hobart and William Smith Colleges on Monday, Nov. 5, Tuesday the 6th and Wednesday the 7th.
The teaching and performing residency will culminate in a public performance of Marshall's Bessie Award-winning choreography “Cloudless,” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 in the Winn-Seeley Gym Theater, followed by a discussion with the dancers.
Marshall is a noted choreographer based in New York City; she received one of the coveted MacArthur Foundation Fellowship (“Genius”) Awards as well as numerous choreographic honors.
The residency is sponsored in part by the New York State Council on the Arts, The New York State DanceForce and a National Dance Performance Touring grant.
