Care for the Dying Cooperative seeks volunteers to provide companionship and support for the terminally ill. The cooperative is made up of local organizations who have joined hands to work together to improve local care and support for the dying. Training begins April 13, on Tuesdays for seven consecutive weeks at Ferris Hills At West Lake in Canandaigua. Weekly classes are three hours long: 6 to 9 p.m.; all seven weeks are required. State certified Hospice providing interdisciplinary care, including volunteer services, in homes and nursing homes. Hospeace is a certified residence for the dying in Naples. Charges covered by most insurance programs.
