Witch
by Jen Silverman
One charming devil, four challenged souls, and maybe, possibly, a witch? This refreshingly modern, comedic, retelling of the Jacobean Drama, The Witch of Edmonton, explores topics of gender, sexuality, parenthood, love, power, and self-worth. Written by celebrated playwright, Jen Silverman, Witch plays like a fairy-tale but penetrates like deep philosophy. While you won't lose your soul in the theatre, you will walk away devilishly moved. Directed by Professor of Theatre Chris Hatch, Witch closes out the 2023-2024 HWS Theatre, running April 10-12, 2025 in McDonald Theatre.
Witch is directed by Professor of Theatre Chris Hatch. The design team consists of Ed Hallborg (Set and Lighting Design and Technical Direction), Kelly Walker (Sound Design), and Katharine Tarkulich (Costume Design). Derrielle Faulkner is the Stage Manager and Caroline Frick is the Assistant Stage Manager. The cast includes MaryEllen Moore (Elizabeth), Lindsay Umlauf (Cuddy), Michael O'Sullivan (Scratch), Lincoln Champlin (Frank), Andrew Milliman (Sir Arthur), and Kalila Caringal (Winnifred). Witch is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com.
