We recognize that the delays in this year’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) have created uncertainty for students and their families. In an effort to better meet the needs of our applicants, we will continue to accept Regular Decision applications beyond our posted deadline. We hope the additional time will allow for an informed decision when completing admission and financial aid applications.

Can Change Your Life

  • Campus Visit

Tour campus with a current student and meet with an admissions staff member to learn more about HWS.

  • Visit Assistance

Let the admissions staff help plan your visit. Contact the office at (315) 781-3622 or admissions@hws.edu for assistance.

  • Interviews

We strongly recommend interviews for all applicants. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your academic curiosity, your personal strengths and your goals for the future while learning more about the HWS experience. At the same time, we come to know more about who you are as a person from these conversations, and that’s important to us.

Safety Guidelines

Hobart and William Smith follow State health and safety guidelines related to Covid-19. At this time, fully vaccinated individuals are not required to mask on campus. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to be masked while indoors in public spaces. Regardless of vaccination status, a mask is required if a faculty or staff member asks that someone do so within their office or classroom.

Tours and other admissions events are often attended by multiple families. If you would prefer to enjoy a more socially distant visit, please contact our office at (315) 781-3622 and we will be happy to make arrangements.
