Edward J. Brennan P'06, P'09
Edward J. Brennan P'06, P'09 has been a stalwart and supportive advocate of HWS students, helping them secure internships, mentoring them throughout the process and speaking with students through the Salisbury Center for Career Services and Professional Development.
Brennan is currently chief executive officer and chair of DFS Group. When he received the award in September 2010, thirteen HWS students had held internships with Brennan and DFS Galleria around the world, including Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi.
After a 16-year career at R.H. Macy & Co. and Federated Department Stores, Brennan joined DFS Group in May 1997 as an executive vice president. He later was promoted to president of the company's USA region before being named chief merchant of DFS in late 1998.
In addition, Brennan is a founding steering committee member of Hand in Hand for Haiti, a collective travel retail industry response to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti. The group is currently raising awareness as well as funds to build and staff a long-term sustainable educational facility in Haiti.
