Where did you find community at HWS?
On the arts campus, specifically the illuminating halls of Houghton House. A spot I sometimes believe is overlooked, it's where I not only met my best friends, but several amazing mentors and my own creative calling.
Was there a particular professor or other HWS mentor who was essential to your path?
I can't thank Assistant Professor of Art and Architecture Max Piersol enough for his individualized and endearing approach to educating. He brings a fresh and powerful energy to the arts campus. He's inspired me to obtain a higher education and hopefully land an amazing role as a professor one day. And to my advisor, Associate Professor of Asian Studies Jinghao Zhou, 谢谢! Professor Zhou is by far the most supportive and encouraging person I've had the pleasure of meeting. I'm so grateful for the several semesters we spent together. From freshman to senior year, Professor Zhou planned both informative and exciting courses, while constantly checking in with students and placing our needs ahead of everything else.
