Hobart and William Smith Colleges

I give to Hobart and William Smith because the lessons I learned, as well as the person I became, while studying at the Colleges are what made it possible for me to be where I am today. The lessons on social justice I learned in the Peer Education and Human Relations program, and the ways I learned to put those lessons into action through service programs like Jumpstart offered through the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning gave me the desire to enter education and change the world for young people in struggling schools. The social experiences in my fraternity, Delta Chi, and the many clubs I joined on campus, gave me the interpersonal skills to make those desires a reality. I give because I want to help young people be able to have those same transformative experiences at HWS.
