Why I Give

I give because I want to ensure that students receive the same incredible education I received. I want to see that the momentum developed during the decades since I took off my graduation gown is maintained. "Excellence" is a term that is often heard when a mission statement is created for groups and businesses but not really pursued in a consistent manner. Because I have been involved with the school for many years, I can say that excellence is integral to the fabric of our institution. I am very proud to say I graduated from William Smith and just as proud to say my daughter graduated from William Smith, and my son graduated from Hobart. Our diplomas are indications of work completed but they also mean that we are graduates of a place that strives for excellence on a daily basis. Graduates do lead lives of consequence.
