Why I Give
Kip Heegaard '85
As the parent of a current college sophomore, I have seen firsthand the positive impact that the college experience has had thus far on my oldest daughter. My son who is a high school senior has seen this process unfold and in turn is excited to begin his college experience next fall and this important next phase in life.
I don't think we can ever underestimate how this process positively shapes each of us and ultimately helps prepare us for the future both personally and professionally. I have many fond memories from my four years at the Colleges and I can attest that this experience was instrumental in my own personal and professional growth and development.
I give to the Colleges because I feel strongly that it's important to support those institutions that have not only positively impacted our own lives but also the lives of future generations.
