My wife and I both are strong supporters of our respective alma maters. To me it is less about the practical aspects and more about the emotional attachment I have with the place and the friends and memories that will always be with me. Hobart and William Smith was about great times with wonderful friends. During my years at HWS I had the freedom to enjoy life as only an 18-22 year old can enjoy it. To me, having a work/life balance is very important, and at HWS I was able to learn how to maintain high academic standards, pursue challenging coursework with professors who were accessible, and still have time to hang out at The Holiday.
