Michael L. Opell ’59 and Ellen Levine Opell ’60

We graduated from Hobart (’59) and William Smith (’60) with a liberal arts education that encouraged and helped develop our intellectual curiosity in many areas. Western Civilization was the basis of our studies and to this day remains one of our most rewarding memories. Michael followed an entrepreneurial path starting his own importing business while Ellen pursued a career in educational therapy. The influence of the Colleges cannot be overestimated. It is because of our enriching experiences at Hobart and William Smith that we feel compelled to afford others to have the same opportunity.
