“I give to Hobart and William Smith because during my four years on the Hobart hockey team we had a motto which was to build on the hard work of those who paved the way before us by leaving the team for future generations better than how we inherited it. My positive experience on campus, in the classroom and on the hockey rink was largely because of the great people at HWS but I would be remiss if I did not recognize the hard work and generosity of previous generations of Statesmen and Herons who gave back to the Colleges. Just as their gifts greatly improved my college experience, I wish for my gifts to help advance the opportunities and facilities for future generations of HWS students.”
