Why I Give

Hobart and William Smith Colleges' campus has always felt like home to me and the people who make the Colleges a vibrant, exceptional learning environment feel like family. I'm fortunate to be a triple legacy at HWS and the Colleges have played a very important role in my family history for more than 60 years. My parents and grandparents met at HWS and since their graduations have been active and involved alums. From watching and listening to them, I learned that alums have a responsibility to give of themselves to make the institution a better place for future generations of students who come after them. Essentially, we have a duty to take care of our home and family. I'm extremely proud of the Colleges and the incredible opportunities I've had here. Paying it forward - giving of my time, talent and treasure to the Colleges - enables future students to experience the Colleges in all its glory and become part of the HWS family. I give back because I want my HWS home and family to thrive. And I'll continue to support the Colleges so that others can have the HWS experience and connectedness that I feel.
