Why I Give

Since the moment I set foot on campus, HWS has always felt like my second home. The setting on the lake and the fantastic facilities played a role in this feeling. Yet, it is the people of HWS - the students, the staff, the faculty, the alums and the administration - all of whom have helped to shape this strong feeling of connection. It is a joy to read about the "people" of HWS in the Pulteney Street Survey as well as witness on the HWS website their accomplishments whether they are academic, athletic or personal endeavors. While the ultimate way to feel that connection is to visit campus and talk to the people of HWS, the best way I can help maintain my "connection" to HWS is to contribute in order to ensure that others can enjoy the same ties to HWS I feel today. HWS is a unique place with special people and a second home to me and hopefully others as well. To be a part of that and to help foster the opportunity for others to feel a similar ongoing connection is why I contribute each year to the HWS Annual Fund as well as to the SAA.
