Seneca Community Players will stage Catherine Filloux’s “All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go” May 12, 13 and 14 in the Delavan Theatre on the New York Chiropractic College campus in Seneca Falls.
This quirky comedy about a group of Amish and a group of transvestites stranded together at a motel in Buffalo during a blizzard is locally produced for the stage by Susan Stewart Sinicropi and directed by Kimberly Brown.
Cultures and values clash when Jacky/Jake (played by Kevin Schoonover), a stressed-out businessman who cross-dresses on weekends, hopes to have a relaxing retreat with his friend Barbie (Jim Andreas) — only to discover he's never been closer to home.
Peter M. Brown and Cyndi Park portray an Old Order Amish father and his fiery teenage daughter caught up in a timeless tale of generational conflict. Also included in the cast are Melissa Baxter as Joan the overworked motel manager who's seen it all; Loren Schmidtgall as Peter, the befuddled and bewildered boyfriend; Joe Green as Cleo and Toni, a clueless drag queen duo; and Ellie Albro as stoic Aunt Sarah.
Tickets are $9 general admission and $7 for students and senior citizens, and will be $2 more at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at Area Records and Music in Geneva and WomanMade Products in Seneca Falls, by calling (315) 568-9364 or by visiting www.SenecaCommunityPlayers.org.
