Historical Society offers summer program on architecture

The Geneva Historical Society will offer “Building Detectives” for children 6 to 12 years old from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 at the Prouty-Chew Museum on South Main Street.

Participants will investigate many types of buildings in Geneva and learn to identify some of the different styles and materials used locally, including a walking tour of South Main Street, weather permitting.

They will then return to the museum to design and build their own model building, using recycled materials.

A fee of $2 per child for Geneva Historical Society members and $3 per child for non-members will be charged. Reservations are required by July 21 by calling the museum office at (315) 789-5151.
