The Geneva Historical Society's free walking tour of Glenwood Cemetery has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 10.
This is the third in a series of tours of the cemetery that the Society is offering, and will cover sections and monuments not included in previous tours.
Glenwood is a traditional Victorian garden cemetery, planned and designed in 1872 on 50 acres of land by H.W.S. Cleveland (1814-1900), a longtime friend of landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead.
Reservations are requested by calling the Geneva Historical Society office at (315) 789-5151. Those planning to walk are reminded to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk over uneven ground.
Parking is available in the Houghton House parking area of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, off South Main Street.
