Two present evening of music and memories

“Coming Home: An Evening with Tyrone Henderson and Shari Pitifer,” will be presented at 7 p.m on Sunday, August 6 at the Smith Opera House in downtown Geneva.

Henderson and Pitifer each grew up in Geneva and have gone on to careers in front of the camera, on the professional stage, and in the music business. They “practically grew up on the Smith Opera House stage, performing with the Geneva High School Drama Club and the Geneva Theatre Guild; 23 years ago they appeared together at The Smith in GTG’s 'Babes In Arms.'”

Henderson studied at SUNY-Stony Brook and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He lives in New York City and performs in plays there and throughout the United States.

Pitifer graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor's degree in acting; she has been living and working in the New York City area as a professional singer/songwriter/actress and teacher/director. She is a sister of Mark S. Pitifer '82 and Sharla M. Pitifer '92, and sister-in-law to Leigh Principio Pitifer '84.

A reception to greet the performers will follow.

Tickets are $5 and will be available at the Smith Opera House, Area Records and Music in Geneva, by visiting http://www.gtglive.org or by calling (315) 781-LIVE or toll-free (866) 355-LIVE.
