Stan Skrabut, inspector general for the Finger Lakes Group, Civil Air Patrol, conducted an Aerospace Education program for Civil Air Patrol senior members on Dec. 6 in Coxe Hall. The course was a review for members who wished to earn the Yeager Award, and covered topics including the history of aviation, basic aeronautics, aerospace community, aviation weather, rocket fundamentals, and our space environment.
Civil Air Patrol is an official auxiliary of the United States Air Force and carries out three primary missions of emergency services, cadet programs, and aerospace education. There are more than 2,600 Civil Air Patrol members in New York. Membership is open to anyone 12 years of age and older. For more information about CAP membership contact Stan Skrabut at ext. 3390.
