Meditation and Imagination, a workshop facilitated by Nanci Rose, will be Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday the 18th at Wisdom's Goldenrod Center for Philosophic Studies in Hector, about 30 minutes south of Geneva on Seneca Lake.
Rose is co-author of “Living Tibet: the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala” (Snow Lion Publications; 1997) and counseling coordinator in the HWS Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Programs.
This process-oriented workshop is an opportunity for meditative relaxation and associated activation of the imagination. Participants will work with journaling and the use of color, sound, movement and other forms of artistic expression. The weekend will include group discussion and interaction, with no pressure to share one's artwork or writing.
The workshop will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and end at 3 p.m. Sunday. The $25 fee includes two simple vegetarian lunches and one dinner, or $40 for overnight with linens plus breakfast and the above meals.
Rose, a certified Briyun Qui Gong teacher, has been recognized for her poetry and other writing.
