The Magical Dance of Ireland, a live spectacle of traditional Irish dance, music and song, will appear in concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 at the Smith Opera House, 82 Seneca St., Geneva, just in time for St. Patrick's Day.
Evoking a time and place steeped in legend, lore and enchantment, the Magical Dance of Ireland offers an authentic Irish cultural experience with award-winning competition dancers accompanied by superb traditional musicians performing traditional Irish dance that has been around as long as there as been music to perform.
This production has toured throughout the U.K. and Europe, performing more than 400 shows. The show consists of 12 regular members — all champion Irish dancers — accompanied by five multi-instrumentalists singing and playing 11 different instruments including the accordion, fiddle, guitar, Bahrain, pipes, whistles and flutes.
