Weekend protests planned

Finger Lakers for Peace will hold two events this weekend to protest the war in Iraq.

A rally is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 17 on Hamilton Street across from Wegmans in Geneva; “signs and raucous attitudes encouraged.”

An interfaith assembly is planned from noon to 1 p.m. the following day in the city's Pulteney Park, South Main Street at Washington Street. Patrisha Blue of Greater Mount Calvary Church of God in Christ and the Rev. Dr. Nancy R. Birdsong, associate pastor at The Presbyterian Church In Geneva, will speak.
