Trumpeter Vizzutti to play with SSO

Trumpet soloist Allen Vizzutti will present a concert with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra starting at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Smith Opera House in downtown Geneva. The pre-concert talk starts at 7:15 p.m.

Vizzutti is a virtuoso trumpeter, and the program, part of the Geneva Concerts series, has an exciting Latin flavor.

The program will include De Falla's “Three-Cornered Hat Suite No. 2,” Vizzutti's “Concierto Mexicano” and “Aventura Espanola,” Bernstein's “West Side Story Overture,” and Copland's “Billy the Kid Suite.”

Tickets are $25 general admission and $10 for students with ID; HWS students are admitted free when they show their ID, thanks to a continuing subscription from the Colleges.
