Seneca Community Players will hold auditions for four women and two men for the final production of its 2007 season, “When the Cat’s Away,” a sex farce written by Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke, with veteran actor John King making his directorial debut.
The show is based on a popular British TV sitcom of the same name, and features a simple — slightly risqué — plot with machine gun quick repartee.
Auditions will begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26 and Monday the 27th at SCP's canalside headquarters behind the Fall Street buildings in Seneca Falls. Interested individuals should come ready to act; no additional preparation is required and scripts will be provided.
Those planning to audition should take a list of potential rehearsal conflict dates; details are available by calling King at (315) 539-8728 or 539-2213.
“When the Cat’s Away” will be performed Thursday, Oct. 11 through Sunday the 14th at Main Street School in Waterloo.
