Geneva Concerts presents Angele Dubeau and La Pieta in concert at 8:15 p.m. Friday, April 11 at the Smith Opera House in downtown Geneva. The traditional pre-concert talk begins at 7:15 p.m.
In 1997, Dubeau created this a string ensemble, bringing together some of the finest women musicians in Canada. From the start, the ensemble performed in some of Canada's most prestigious venues, as well as on both the Radio-Canada and CBC television networks. Dubeau and La Pieta play numerous concerts in Canada, including several for women's charities.
Selections for this program will be from the works of Saint-Saens, Francaix, Glick, Brahms and Heidrich.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for College students with ID, and free to students through high school. Tickets are available at the Smith box office, Area Records and Music in Geneva, Mobile Music in Canandaigua, and The Copy Shop in Seneca Falls.
