For the second time, Sandra Chu has been selected as a fiction juror for Elle Magazine's Reader's Prize 2004 (www.elle.com).
This annual award given in both fiction and non-fiction features recently published and not-yet-released works. Each month, a panel of jurors select the winning novel out of a group of three books. The ultimate prize winner, chosen from among all the monthly winners, is announced in September.
Chu will jury the month of May.
Chu last juried in 2001. The novel “The Lovely Bones” by Alice Seebold was selected by Chu and her peers as both a monthly winner and the annual winner.
Chu holds a master's in English and writing from New York University and is a published poet. Her work most recently appears in the APA Journal (www.aaww.org).
