Moving Up Day, one of the oldest and fondest William Smith College traditions, will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, on the Melly Lawn. Students, alumnae, administrators and faculty are invited to take part in the ceremony, which celebrates William Smith College and the achievements of its women. William Smith women are asked to gather in the William Smith Circle wearing class colors prior to the ceremony at 4 p.m. Led by the senior class, the students will process down the hill, carrying class banners and a laurel garland. Hobart student and other guests are asked to join the women under the tent for the ceremony, which will include the presentation of awards and prizes and the sharing of class legacies. William Smith Congress Executive Board officers and members of Laurel Society and Hai Timiai will also be announced. A reception in the Melly Academic Center atrium will follow the ceremony. All are invited to attend.
