Hobart-Cornell lacrosse game moved to the Boz

The Hobart College lacrosse game against eighth-ranked Cornell University on May 2 has been moved from McCooey Field to Boswell Field. Hobart has secured portable lighting for what will be the first night game on the “Boz.” The Statesmen bring an 8-5 record and a three-game winning streak into their final game of the regular season. Hobart’s defense has been very stingy of late, limiting its last six opponents to eight goals or less. The Statesmen rank first in the nation in man-down defense (.826), fifth in scoring margin (+3.54), and 10th in scoring defense (7.23). The Big Red is 10-3 and coming off an 11-7 win over Brown. Cornell ranks in the top 10 in the nation in faceoff winning percentage (5th, .595), winning percentage (6th, .769), scoring margin (8th, +3.0), and scoring offense (9th, 11.15). Musco Lighting will turn night into day for the 128th meeting between the Statesmen and the Big Red. Musco has provided temporary lighting for sporting events around the world, including the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Sydney, and Athens. Two tractor trailer trucks with light towers approximately 110-feet tall will illuminate Hobart’s final regular season game. Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for children under 12. Fans unable to attend the game, can follow along online with streaming video by ECAC.tv, audio from WEOS-FM, and Live Stats.
