Spotlight on Service

Service-learning, a corner stone of the HWS experience, will take center stage during “Service Learning in Geneva: A Panel Discussion” on Tuesday, May 6. The event, a combining of the popular Cross Cultural Coffee House and Faculty Fireside Chat series, will take place at 5 p.m. in the Intercultural Affairs Center, 288 Pulteney Street. During the hour-long gathering, Dubary Brea ’10, Esthfanie Giordano ’10, Tirsa Monge ’08, Veronica Mora ’08 and Jenny Quirindongo ’08 will discuss their semester-long community service projects alongside leaders from the local agencies who’ve worked with them, including Agri-Business Child Development (ABCD), Geneva High School, Finger Lakes Health and Women Infant and Children (WIC). Director of Intercultural Affairs and Assistant Professor of Spanish and Hispanic Studies Alejandra Molina will moderate the discussion. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
