Michael L. Amodeo ’01 has joined Damon & Morey LLP in Buffalo, N.Y. as an associate in the general litigation department. Damon & Morey is one of the largest multi-service firms in Western New York, with more than 80 attorneys and a national client base. He received his B.A. from Hobart College in 2001 in both economics and political science. He went on to receive his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 2004. Amodeo was most recently a junior associate at Sliwa & Lane, also of Buffalo, where he practiced in the areas of defense litigation of automobile/trucking accidents, premises liability, products liability and insurance coverage litigation. While at Hobart, Amodeo received the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society award for students who have excelled in political science, the Omicron Delta Epsilon National Honor Society Award from the international honor society in economics, and the T. Schuyler Smith Memorial Scholarship. He was named a Durfee Scholar and a Hale Scholar in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement, and a Hobart Scholar for his achievement, community service and leadership, and a Statesman Scholar for his athletic participation and academic achievement. Amodeo was a linebacker for the Statesmen football team and studied abroad in Quinto, Ecuador.
