Perkins Presents Research at National Conference on Reducing Drinking and Driving

Wesley Perkins, professor of sociology, and Jeff Linkenbach of Montana State University were invited to give a presentation on “Changing High-Risk Behaviors Using Social Norms Strategies” at the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America's National Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 21. Their presentation was sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and featured their successful work on a 15-month experiment to reduce drinking and driving and increase the use of designated drivers among Montana young adults through the implementation of a social norms campaign.
