Discuss the Wall Street Meltdown with William C. Green ’83, managing director of Starwood Capital, L.L.C. over breakfast on Friday, Oct. 10 from 9 – 10 a.m. in Trinity 109.

A former executive at Wachovia Bank, Green will examine how we entered the financial crisis and how to navigate the current marketplace for a job in finance.

Green is a Managing Director of Starwood Capital and responsible for the debt investment businesses of the firm. He joined Starwood in 2007 and has 25 years of experience in real estate investing and real estate finance.

He was most recently with Wachovia Securities. As a Managing Director, Global Head of Real Estate Capital Markets, Green managed the commercial real estate securitization, structured finance, equity coinvestment, loan servicing, asset management and trading functions for Wachovia.

Prior to Wachovia, Green spent nine years at Banc of America Securities, L.L.C. and its predecessors, holding various positions including Managing Director of Real Estate Private Distributions and Managing Director of the Commercial Mortgage Conduit Program.

Green earned an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a BA in economics from Hobart College. He holds NASD Series 7, Series 24 and NASAA Series 63 licenses.
