From a guitar weekend, to Indian tabla, to a special chorale performance, the HWS Fall Concert Series displayed an amazing range of repertoire that amazed the audience. Culminating the series, on Sunday, Nov. 23, is a classical performance by Pianist Kevin Moore, titled “Sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven.” It will take place at 3 p.m. in the Geneva Room.
Moore is one of the finest pianists in Central New York. Currently, he is a professor of music at Onondaga Community College, where he has taught since 1975. Throughout his life, he has studied piano with James Ball, Robert Goldsand, Anton Kuerti and Liselotte Schmidt.
For the concert, Moore will perform four Beethoven piano sonatas as part of a two-year Beethoven sonata recital series.
He holds a B.M. degree from the Crane School of Music, an M.M. degree from the Manhattan School of Music, a Ph.D. from New York University and a J.D. degree (magna cum laude) from Syracuse University College of Law.
