Shortly after graduating from Hobart, Montanus’ successful career started as an account executive at WTVH-TV in Syracuse, N.Y. He then went on to serve in several account executive and local and national sales manager positions with WBBM-TV in Chicago and CBS National TV sales in New York and San Francisco, rising to the post of national sales manager for the CBS Television stations in New York.
Over the years, Montanus served as vice president of marketing for SFM Entertainment in New York, as director of advertising sales for Columbia Pictures Television, and senior vice president of the Disney Kids Network.
Before joining ABC in 2000, Montanus served as executive vice president of Content Acquisition and Advertising Sales for Microcast. He went on to become senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing for Worldvision Enterprises. At Worldvision, Montanus was responsible for all trade and consumer marketing, public relations and research, as well as advertiser sales.
Since 2002, Montanus has served as senior vice president of ABC Sales. In his current position, he is responsible for co-managing the sales team of the ABC Television Network.
